Why Arm Board Insertion Matters More Than It Seems

For technologists, armboard placement is one of those steps that happens dozens of times a week, often under time pressure and in tight procedural spaces. It's easy to think of it as a simple setup task — but in practice, it can slow down workflow more than most people realize.

Traditional armboards often require force to slide under a patient, especially with larger patients or when table clearance is limited. In many cases, placement may need an extra set of hands or even rolling the patient slightly to get the board into position. That adds time, increases complexity, and can disrupt the flow of the room before the procedure even begins.

Its right-hand-drive insertion geometry allows the board to be guided under the patient with a more natural motion, reducing resistance and making placement more controlled and predictable.
